The Town Creek Block Captain Program is bringing neighbors together! Volunteers throughout our neighborhood are helping welcome new residents, share information, organize gatherings, and strengthen connections on their streets.

Some Block Captains have already begun introducing themselves to neighbors and organizing activities. We're excited about the progress and are continuing to recruit volunteers for streets that don't yet have a captain.

What Does a Block Captain Do?

Block Captains are friendly neighborhood connectors. Depending on the needs of their street, they may:

  • Welcome new neighbors and make introductions.
  • Share information about neighborhood events and activities.
  • Organize informal gatherings, happy hours, or potlucks.
  • Encourage involvement in the Neighborhood Association, Crime Watch, and VIP program.
  • Help neighbors stay connected and look out for one another.

Every street is different, and the role is flexible. You don't need special experience or a major time commitment, just a willingness to help bring neighbors together.

Become a Block Captain!

Don't see a captain for your street? We'd love to have you volunteer! You can also recommend a neighbor who might be a great fit.
